The Prestige

It's been a long, eventful run with the Annoy-a-tron. But today, in the middle of a crunch, my heart went out to Big J.

3:28 PM
[BIGJ] man that beeping in my office is back
[BIGJ] it's been gone for like a month, now it's back all of a sudden
[me] what beeping?
[me] your cell phone?
[BIGJ] you know that high pitched whistle in my office, I'm sure you've heard it in morning meetings
[BIGJ] PM: it's been gone for a while, but it's shown up again
[me] oh that noise-- i thought you said it was your ups?
[BIGJ] I thought it was, but after shutting a bunch of stuff, it was still beeping
[BIGJ] and then it just disappeared
[BIGJ] I dunno, I thought it was the electrical or something, and the work we did recently made it go away, guess not :(


So, we programmers gathered in his office to help him hunt for the source of the cursed electronic screeching one last time. And together, we pulled back the the CDs on his shelf to reveal a small circuit board responsible for so much pain.
